MSW Grant Programs

In addition to the above departmental scholarships, the School of Social Work currently has two federal grants that provide qualifying students with a $10,000 stipend, the MY-PROUD and I-PEER programs.

MY-PROUDThe goal of the program is to fundamentally transform the behavioral health workforce in Southwest Michigan toward greater competency in preventing, treating, and supporting recovery from Opioid Use Disorders, particularly with youth and transitionally aged adults.

I-PEER: The Inter-professional Peer Education and Evidence for Recovery program provides enhanced interdisciplinary education for social workers, occupational therapists and peer specialists in evidence-based practices in behavioral health

Both programs come with a $10,000 stipend for concentration level students with a qualifying field placement. Eligibility for these grants cannot be determined prior to admission and field placement, but if you are interested we will send you additional information on how to qualify.

Are you interested in either the MY-PROUD or I-PEER scholarship?
