Irving S. Gilmore School of Music
Supplemental Application for Undergraduate Studies

Completing this form will register you for one or more auditions for admission to undergraduate programs in the Irving S. Gilmore School of Music at Western Michigan University. Applications are due two weeks prior to the audition date. Auditions include interviews and/or performances.

You will need to select what programs you want to apply for, what performance studios you want to audition for, what date you would like to attend a New Student Audition Day (NSAD), and provide information about your interest and experience related to the degrees to which you are applying. NSAD activities are scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm. Auditions for Voice, Composition, and Multimedia Arts Technology sometimes end closer to 6 pm.

Multimedia Arts Technology and Music Composition applicants will be asked to provide a link to a portfolio of relevant audio, video, and/or PDF files.

If you are interviewing virtually for a performance studio you are required to upload a video of yourself performing as part of the application.
